21 million people watch Sunday night football in this country.
98 million people watch the Super Bowl.
2.9 million people watched the impeachment hearings on Fox News.
This was the question in my mind when I stood in line at a black owned pizza shop to buy a bottle of water and snapped this photo as I waited. The owner saw me make the picture, she was only about three feet away. She asked what I was doing and I explained.
I left the shop with my soda only to be hear police sirens minutes later as I walked up the street. Turns out the owner called the police and in a tiny town of only 2400,everybody knows everybody.
The police that stopped me turned out to be the police chief of this tiny town and as saw his name tag his name rang a bell. I explained what I did and mentioned that I think I read an article about him on line. The conversation then ended abruptly as he walked away. I was a little confused as I wanted to get at least verbal permission to photograph this small town. That never happened.
Why the serine? This police chief was suspended for unlawfully searching a 14 old. The city took his badge and gun and was placed on leave. When he returned to work he was not allowed to work without supervision before he was fully reinstated.
This is a black town and just like white privilege,is not afraid to flex its black privilege.
