Our dream kitchen remodel is complete! Brian and I (well probably more me 🤣) had a lot of fun dreaming up what this space could be. We knew we wanted something light and bright and white! Classic subway tile but also some shiplap paneling somewhere in there too. So we decided to combine the two and go for a little bit less of a traditional look. New countertops, new sink, new lighting, and that beauty of a faucet that I’m so obsessed with! We’re slowly making over our home, one DIY at a time, into the farmhouse of my dreams over here (as much as you can in a suburban Orange County home 😂) and I feel like the kitchen really brought the whole downstairs space together. It’s just so pretty and perfect and cozy and bright.
Most importantly though, we wanted a space that was inviting to come together in each day. For our family and our friends that come through the door. Our living space downstairs is kind of small so it’s pretty much our kitchen and dining table that take up the most space. When you walk in the house, it feels much more open now and you can be sitting anywhere and feel like you’re apart of the moment. I just love it. I know that these things aren’t the most important. And that our kitchen could have stayed the same and so many good memories would still be had. But getting to create a space that is aesthetically pleasing and brings such joy to my heart is really special and something I am not taking for granted. Still feels surreal over here.
Swipe to see what the kitchen looked like after we did some small renovations ourselves before we moved in. And then the last photo is what it looked like when we bought it!
