I met this man outside of a pond on a scorching hot and frustrating day. I couldn’t see compositions the way I do now, and wasn’t as skilled as I am now.
Was also in the middle of a month straight of shooting for the first time, and I can’t say I fully knew what I was doing.
I initially said hello to him as I do nearly everyone I encounter, but if you zoom in, you’ll see he has a camera in his hands. That instantly brought us together, now we know we’re cut from a similar cloth.
Such a peaceful man, it was great speaking with him. Though he has an affliction that compromises his ability to walk, clearly nothing stopped him from engaging in a craft he enjoys.
I took that to heart, and I won’t let anything take me away from it either.
